SkillsByRole operates this site.

What we collect

We collect the fields you type into a form.

• Newsletter: your email address, and a job category if you choose one.
• Submit a listing: the name of the skill or server, whether it is a skill or an MCP server, the source URL, the jobs you select, your summary, any note you add, and your email address.
• Sponsor: your name, email address, company, website, and message. Company and website can be left blank.
• Server logs and IP addresses: Vercel, the host, keeps basic server logs. Those logs can include an IP address and the address of the page or form that was requested. We use them to run and secure the site.

Why we collect it

• The newsletter email is how we send the letter.
• The optional job category is so a later letter can match the work you picked. You can skip it.
• Submission fields are so a person can read what you want listed and reply. Sending the form does not publish a listing.
• Sponsor fields are so we can read a placement request and reply. The form is not a checkout and does not take payment.
• IP addresses in the host logs are used to run and secure the site.

Processors

These services process the data because they run the site. We send them the fields that work needs.

• Resend sends email. A newsletter address can be added to a Resend audience so the letter can be sent.
• Neon stores the form rows in a Postgres database.
• Vercel hosts the site and keeps the basic server logs described above.

The letter

Reply or email us to unsubscribe. Write to praesepe@mail.grokbot.com and ask to be removed. This site does not send a newsletter message with an unsubscribe link, and it has no unsubscribe page.

We keep form rows until you ask us to delete them. We do not set a retention period for Vercel's server logs on this page, because we do not control that log store.

Affiliate links

Some pages link to a paid product. I earn a commission if you join through my link. The longer note is on that disclosure page.

Deletion

You can ask us to delete your data. Email praesepe@mail.grokbot.com and name the address and the form. We will delete the newsletter row, submission, or sponsor note we can match to that request. A copy that already sits in a provider's own logs is outside the rows we can delete from the database.

SkillsByRole does not sell these addresses. We do not publish a subscriber count from them.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies.

California privacy rights

If you are in California, you can ask to know, delete, and correct the personal information we have about you.

• Know: ask what personal information we have collected about you.
• Delete: ask us to delete that information.
• Correct: ask us to fix information that is wrong.

We do not sell or share your personal information.

We will not discriminate against you for making one of these requests.

We do not respond to Do Not Track signals because we do not track across sites.
