Figma's remote MCP server gives an agent design context from a file and can write native frames back to the canvas. Read tools are rate-limited, and Figma says write-to-canvas is free only during the current beta.

The guide's remote URL is https://mcp.figma.com/mcp. Documented features include code from a selected frame, design context such as variables and components, Code Connect so generated code reuses your real components, and write-to-canvas on the remote server. Figma says write-to-canvas will become a usage-based paid feature and is free during the beta. A rolling-out feature can capture a web page into a Figma design.
Starter plans, and View or Collab seats on paid plans, get up to six read tool calls a month. Dev or Full seats on Professional, Organization, or Enterprise plans follow Figma's Tier 1 REST API rate limits. Write tools are exempt from those read limits. The GitHub guide has no SPDX license; use of the server is under Figma's developer terms. A free Starter seat can connect, with that tight cap, so the cost label is free.
